For The Love of Dogs

Team SIPtemberfest is sitting so pretty for our new nonprofit partner: For the Love of Dogs Vermont (FLDVT)!

SIP has always welcomed well-behaved dogs so a partnership with FLDVT is the logical next step! Then, when they mentioned they might bring a puppy petting zoo we couldn’t sit still any longer.

Yes – we just said puppy petting zoo! More details about that closer to the event. But come prepared for some pet therapy!

A shelterless dog rescue based right here in the Mad River Valley, FLDVT works with rescue partners in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Tennessee to save dogs from high-kill shelters, and transport them north to loving homes in Vermont. Each year, FLDVT places approximately 800 pups with their forever families. The rescue is run entirely by volunteers and relies upon donations to support its work.

We are thrilled about this partnership and can’t wait to welcome FLDVT to SIP! In the meantime, you can get your puppy fix by perusing their Adoptable Dogs page, and following FLDVT on Facebook and Instagram. And, if you’re someone who wants a dog, but can’t commit to full-time ownership, you could always consider fostering!
