2014 Dates!

WOOT!!! We are SO excited to announce the dates for the 2014 SIPtemberfest!

Mad River Glen Siptemberfest - September 28, 2013

Our Brewers Dinner will be held at Mad River Glen’s Starks Pub on Friday, September 26.

Vermont Beer Tasting will be held in MRG’s base area on Saturday, September 27.

We will announce all sorts of delicious information soon, (like who will be pouring and when tickets go on sale,) so be sure to stay in the loop! (Reminder – both events sold out quickly last year!) How does one stay in the loop, you ask? Here are the best ways:

  • Sign up to get FreshSIPs and all our updates will get emailed directly to you! (Look over there on the right.)
  • Follow SIPtemberfest on Twitter
  • RSVP to our Facebook Invite
  • Follow Meg’s Events on Facebook & Instagram to find out about this and many other cool events you didn’t know you wanted to know about.

After the best night of sleep ever for the #insomniacs at SIPtemberfest HQ, we’re on coffee  #3, looking at all the awesome #siptemberfest photos on Instagram. We like them so much that we’ve decided to give away a pair of tickets to the 2014 SIPtemberfest to one luck instagrammer (#isthataword?) So keep sharing your photos from the fest or of your SIP swag in post-event action. We will announce the winner, well, sooner or later! But for now, #siptemberfest! #hashtag!

Team Photo!

Big, big thanks to our stellar line up of brewers and distillers! We’re pretty confident this was the tightest beer list we’ve ever had – thanks so much for bringing the goods!

Humongous thanks to all our generous sponsors including Lawson’s Finest Liquids, Prohibition Pig, Mehuron’s Supermarket, Mad River Distillers, Positive Pie, Mad River Glen, Sperry Tents, Otter Creek Brewing, Long Trail Brewing, The Blue Stone, Hunger Mountain Coop, Hostel Tevere, Three Penny Taproom, The Mad Taco and more. Please check out our entire sponsor list here and be sure to thank these fine businesses for helping SIPtemberfest be such a success!

Special thanks also to the Meg’s Events staff and the incredible volunteers who schlepped tables and tents and astroturf, and stuffed glasses and folded menus and checked tickets and ran the retail hopShop and, and, and…! You guys were tireless and amazing and have each earned at least a keg’s worth of good beer karma! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

And last but by no means least – thanks to YOU ALL! SIPtemberfest would be nothing without all the great people who attend each year. Thanks for supporting craft beer and coming out to SIP with us! We can’t wait to see you all next year!

SIPtemberfest 2014 dates will be announced in the future. Sign up to get Fresh SIPs emailed directly to you so you don’t miss a single update. Thanks and cheers!

Finally! The day we’ve been waiting for has arrived and it promises to be a good one!

The forecast is calling for Sunny and 60s, the beer line up in the walk-in at Mad River Glen is nuts, and you look fantastic – did you do something with your hair!?

By now you should all know that gates open at 1pm and you must bring your ID! If you have further questions, we’ve probably answered them here so sift through the posts and the tabs because we will not be answering the phone, checking emails or webpage comments today.

If you missed last night’s Meet the Brewers Dinner, we would highly suggest you consider going next year because it was frickin’ awesome! If you were dining with Sean & Mike last night, let us know what you thought! Either way, check out some of the photos by Spencer Leonard Photography (he will also be on site today so be sure to smile for the camera!)

So that’s it – we’re turning off the computer and heading to the mountain to set up for the party! See you soon!

Thanks and cheers,

-Team SIPtemberfest

It’s Friday! Yippeee!!

We are all hands on deck here at SIPtemberfest HQ!  If you have questions regarding tickets etc, please sniff around the webpage and hopefully you will find what you need. If you still have questions, please email us, siptemberfest@madriver.com, but we probably won’t be too quick to respond today. Please note: We are no longer taking names for the Wait List. Partially because it’s long enough that we probably wont be able to turn them all around, and partially because we have to get off the computer and start setting up for the party! Don’t forget that you can sign up to get Fresh SIPs and get all our posts emailed directly to you, never missing a single update, including the announcement of when tickets will go on sale next year.

For those of you lucky ducks attending tonight’s Meet The Brewers Dinner, holy moly, come with an empty stomach because you are gonna want every last bit of space your belly can make! Doors open at 6:30 and dinner will start promptly at 7pm. There’s no word yet on whether Mike and/or Sean will sport their lederhosen – that remains to be seen. But we can promise a night filled with awesome food and beer, and a ton of raffle prizes, generously donated by our sponsors.

Some things to remember for Saturday:
