Hey Team!

Just a quick post to announce that the 2015 SIPtemberfest will take place Friday, September 25, (Meet the Brewers Dinner,) and Saturday, September 26, (Vermont Beer Tasting). There will only be ONE session on Saturday. Info about tickets sales dates and more will be announced soon.

SIP HQ has been hit hard with the flu so we thank you in advance for your patience and we’ll get you more info asap.

We are also taking suggestions for flu remedies.

Thanks and cheers!

This Happened

Screen Shot 2014-09-28 at 10.34.03 AMWell that was pretty dang amazing team! Nicely played! SIPtemberfest wouldn’t be nearly as much fun without all the great people who attend each year so thank you for your support!

The Meet the Brewers Dinner was a blast last Friday night. The food from Chef Michael Witzel of Mad River Glen, the beers and commentary from Sean of Lawson’s Finest Liquids and Mike from Otter Creek Brewing made for an incredible all around experience. Right out of the gate, all signs indicated the weekend was going to be really really really really really kick ass!!

Saturday’s event, the Vermont Beer Tasting was also off the hook! The weather was unbelievable, the crowd was the coolest, the brewers brought their best stuff, the bands rocked, the food was delicious… It was a banner day from start to finish.

By the way – do you have photos of SIPtemberfest? Please share them with us! You can post them to the Meg’s Event Facebook page, use #SIPtemberfest in the social-media-sphere, or contact us directly.

HUGE thanks to our bad-ass team of volunteers who absolutely hit it out of the park! They worked their tails off to make sure this event was all set up, smoothly run, and efficiently cleaned up too! We couldn’t have done it without them!

We would also like to thank our generous sponsors once again for their continued support. They are an important part of what we do at SIPtemberfest. Please stop in to these fine businesses, see what they are all about and let them know you appreciate their involvement in our little beerfest!

Thanks as well to the Mad River Path Association for teaming up with us again this year – please consider becoming a member of the MRPA – it’s a great way to offset your carbonated-footprint!

So now we can put our feet up for a little bit. But not for long because we are already brainstorming way to make SIPtemberfest the same but better! If you have feedback, please contact us.

Thanks once again to everyone involved in SIPtemberfest! We can’t wait until next year!!

The Biggest Ever.

Say you were interested to know who will be pouring their fine libations at SIPtemberfest on Saturday, Sept 27 from 1-5pm?

Well, by geezum, it’s your lucky day! Below is a list of all the brewers setting up camp in the base area of Mad River Glen just for you. We are hosting more breweries than ever and many of them are branny-spanking new!

But first, earn good beer karma and peruse this bit of important info:

  • Gates open at 1pm. You may start lining up around 12:30 but please, please, PLEASE don’t line up much earlier than that. If you arrive earlier, go for a chairlift ride or a hike because the weather looks amazing! Plus you’ll get a little Calories In/Calories Out.
  • BRING YOUR ID!! REPEAT: BRING YOUR ID. And bring either a print out of your ticket or pull it up on your smart phone with this handy-dandy Eventbrite app.
  • ALL tickets will be scanned in – General Admission, winners, industry, press, etc.
  • Yes you can bring your pregnant wife who will be your designated driver. (Though it’s really her call. Hopefully there’s a pint of ice cream and a jar of pickles in it for her.)
  • Yes you can bring your kids (but please note: there are NO kids activities so while you are welcome to bring them, please be mindful that this isn’t exactly a kid-friendly event.)
  • Yes you can bring your leashed and well-behaved dog (but please be mindful of your dog at all times and be prepared to pick up after them because no one likes stepping in that $#!*.)
  • Don’t Forget the PROST PARTY at HOSTEL TEVERE to follow! They are hosting killer music and a killer beer line up so you’ll definitely want to check them out!!
  • Our Free Shuttles are FULL! If you have a reservation you are super lucky and will be riding in style!
  • HUGE thanks to our generous sponsors: Mehuron’s Market, Growler Garage, Blackback Pub, Craft Beer Cellar – Waterbury, Hostel Tevere, The Mad Taco, The Mule Bar, Three Penny Taproom,  Prohibition PigSperry Tents, Mad River Glen, New Duds and of course Meg’s Events! Please thank all of these folks for helping to make SIPtemberfest so awesome! Not all, but many of them still have tickets they are giving away – contact them for more info!
  • Swing by the Mad River Path Association booth and enter their raffle! They have some beer-geek-alicious prizes up for grabs! We are happy to team up once again with the MRPA and support their healthy mission and we encourage you to support them as well! Have we mentioned Calories In/Calories Out?!

And now, the 2014 SIPtemberfest Brewer Line Up:

And just for good measure, the Vermont Brewer’s Association will also have a booth with us so be sure to swing by and get your Vermont Beer Passport!

Note: Trapp Lager Brewery had to pull out last minute! *Sadface* They will be listed on the menu and the t-shirt but unfortunately we won’t see them until next year.
