FRIDAY

SIPtemberfest Meet The Brewers Dinner –  Friday Sept. 27, Doors at 6:30, dinner promptly at 7pm

Friday, September 27, at 6:30pm come to Mad River Glen’s General Starks Pub for a night full of great food, beer and company. This year’s Meet the Brewers Dinner will feature Mike Gerhart of Otter Creek Brewing and Sean Lawson of Lawson’s Finest Liquids.  They have hand paired their beers to compliment and enhance the aromas and flavors of the four course menu prepared by Chef Michael Witzel.

The brewers will  introduce each course and take questions throughout the evening.  It’s a great opportunity to pick the brains of two of the most reputable brewers in the state. Doors will open at 6:30. Dinner will start promptly at 7pm.

Tickets include four courses and eight beers as well as a souvenir glass and tasting menu.

TESTIMONIALS:

“What a great evening! Thanks Mike for the amazing food. The beer pairings were great and the evening was spectacular! And it was fun to meet the brewers and hear their stories. Definitely an event not to be missed!” – Betsy J.

My husband and I had the honor of attending the Meet the Brewers Dinner last fall at Mad River Glen – the food was spectacular! With each course we were introduced to a new, thoughtfully paired beer, one from each brewer. Sean Lawson and Mike Gerhart showed such knowledge and passion for their work, as well as a tremendous amount of respect for each other. We left feeling deeply satisfied as well as inspired.” –– Sara P.

“We’ve gone to a few SIPtemberfests now, and love it because of the chill, laid-back atmosphere–no lines, great spot, fun crowd. The Brewers Dinner takes all the best stuff about SIP and packs it into one night of super good food and beer in an close setting with interesting stories and anecdotes from the brewers. We’d recommend the Brewers Dinner to anybody from beer nerd to someone who just likes good food, drink and company.” -Tyler & Rachel

    • Hi Jen – I’ve been told that the only thing they cannot do nut free would be the dessert. But even then, our chef is concerned about “how nut free” you are. We can do nut free plates for you, but there are obviously going to be nuts in the kitchen (both figuratively and literally!)
If you are ok with that, just be sure to make a comment when you purchase your tickets (there’s a field at the end where you can note that you’d like a nut free dinner.)
      Thanks and Cheers!

    • Hi Katie! Yes – we can do cheese-free servings for you. The only concern is whether it’s an allergy or other dietary restriction, since it won’t be a cheese-free kitchen. Your plates will be as cheese-free as we can get them though! When you buy your tickets please just make sure to include in the comment field that you are requesting cheese-free meals.
      thanks and cheers!

  1. How many tickets can we purchase at one time? Two limit, or four limit? I can’t locate this info on the website, and need to know how to man my computer time Monday at 7:00 AM. . .need four tickets. . .thanks for your time/answer! Cris Blackstone

    • Sorry for the delayed response Patrick – YES! We will release the menu soon – the guys are still fine tuning it.
      thanks and cheers!

    • Yes! Right now the tentative main dish might be salmon but whatever it is, there will be a vegetarian option as well.

    • It’s in the base lodge of Mad River Glen on route 17. there’s a google map link on the sidebar and in “what is…” tab of the webpage. Off the top of my head think its 57 resort road. (I’m mobile today – it’s harder to share links) let me know if you need more directions! Thanks and cheers!
